What's New?
(20250218) Welcome to the Biofilm Image Library (BIL). We encourage you to explore our library of images here.
(20250101) The Biofilm Image Library is a collaboration between the Center for Biofilm Engineering at Montana State University, the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, and the Neural Engineering Data Consortium (NEDC) at Temple University. Our goal is to provide the community with valuable, well-curated, easy to use image corpora.
A Community Resource
The Biofilm Imaging Library (BIL) is an open-access, community-driven repository of standardized, high-quality biofilm images and the development of open-source easy-to-use computationally efficient tools aided by machine learning. Our consortium is currently focused on planning the development of the BIL, ensuring that it meets the needs of the research community by establishing key collaborations, identifying data collection strategies, and designing the foundational platform architecture. The BIL framework will be established for building a collection of images and metadata, open-source tools, and associated computational models.
Recently Released Corpora

In this space we will periodically announce our newest data releases. We encourage you to contribute images to our repository. Contact help@nedcdata.org to learn more about how you can participate.
